The Android TV set-top box uClan X96Max is an updated X96Max model with the new, more powerful Amlogic S905X3 processor, the direct descendant of S905X2. The new chip uses the ARM Cortex-A55 processor, which significantly improves performance compared to the Cortex-A53 used in the S905X2.
Amlogic S905X3 processor with ARM Cortex-A55 cores also includes the ARM G31 MP2 GPU, which provides good performance as well as 4K video decoding. Other specifications are also very similar to the specifications of consoles with the S905X2. Android 9.0 is used as the base operating system, and an update to Android Q is expected in the future
